How to make a pattern bigger?

this is a pattern for a hat for a little kid, (or in this case cat)

and i really like it lots…but clearly my head is a tad bit bigger than a cats head…

how do i make the adjustments to make a small pattern bigger?

It could be as simple as casting on more stitches between the tentacles maybe 40 or 50 instead of 30, depending on your yarn and head size. Never in a million years could I have imagined myself typing that. :teehee:

OR, you could just use a different pattern.

Here’s a pattern for a Giant Squid Hat, which has Youth and Adult sizes Small, Medium, and Large.
