I put together a picture tutorial on my blog on how to make a center-pull ball using paper towel tube. Just thought I would post it in it’s own thread to make it more visible for those that want to learn and don’t want to spend money on a yarn winder. It’s a great alternative if you only have a few skeins/hanks to wind or don’t need to wind yarn all the time. Hope someone finds it helpful.
That is wonderful! Thank you so much
Slick! Thanks for the clear presentation.
Thanks for this! The pictures make it very clear–really helpful!
Thanks. Now I get it!:figureditout:
i always cut a little slit into the tube and pull the yarn into the slit so that it won’t move while i’m winding.
Wow! What a great idea! Thanks for sharing this technique. I like the fact that I can recycle the paper towel tube.
Now, only to choose which skein from my stash to work with…
I’m just glad I could help.
That’s really great of you to do. I’m going to have to check out your tutorial and that technique. I did it for the first time a couple of months ago on my fingers, and have to say I was almost as proud of my first center pull ball as I was of my first scarf!
What a great tutorial! Thanks so much!!!
Thanks for putting this on!
