How to knit ,yo, to the end, plus 1 stich

K
I know how to knit, the YO, ssk stiches, but once I get to the end how do I add a stich? Is it a knitted stitch? Thanks so much ,:boom:

Can you quote the entire row and give us the stitch number?
What is the name of the pattern?
Don’t print the entire pattern as that runs into copyright problems

The name is Playground Shawl. It is used as follow:

GARTER STRIPES
Row 1 (RS): k2, kfb, k to end. (+1 st)
Row 2 (WS): ssk, k to last 3 sts, kfb, k2.
ALSO : LACE STRIPES
Odd-Numbered Section (odd # of sts on needle before working 1st RS row)
Row 1 (RS): k2, kfb, yo, ssk, rep to end. (+ 1 st)
Row 2 (WS): k1, yo, ssk, rep to last 3 sts, kfb, k2. (+1 st) .
My only question, is, what does (+1 st) at the end of the rows means and how do I add that stich? In these instructions. Thanks so much

(+1st) means that across the row you will add one stitch to the row count.
On row 1 under Garter Stripes, you have one kfb which adds one stitch.
On row 1 under Lace Stripes, Row 1, the yo and ssk balance out but the kfb adds one stitch.
So you don’t need to add a stitch at the end of the row, just follow the instructions for the row.

Thank you so much :boom: that makes total sense:blush:
