How to knit this lace pattern

I really want to recreate the lacy part on the border of this scarf: https://images4-g.ravelrycache.com/uploads/whitesquall/229349879/image.jpg, but I can’t quite work out how to do it.

This is my latest attempt, with a stockinette ‘background’ so I could see the stitches more clearly:

I used:
RS: P4 K2 YO P2TOG P4
WS: K4 P2 YO P2TOG K4

The lace part in the very centre looks correct, but the edges of the lace don’t look as neat as the ones in the picture.

Does anyone with more experience with lace patterns have a better idea of the stitches I should use?

Did you find the pattern on Ravelry? If so can you tell us the name of the pattern?

Unfortunately it is a custom border added to the pattern by a knitter: Ravelry: whitesquall's Daphne Scarf

The only information they gave was “Didn’t like the curling…I added a border.”. I tried messaging them, but no reply… there are also comments from 5 years ago asking about the border with no reply, so I think it’s a bit of a dead end there. :frowning:

Will have to keep trying to figure it out!
