How to join round when using dpns

:knitting: Most patterns using dpns call for you to divide your stitches onto three needles and join. It is the joining that I don’t understand. Do I do the first stitch tightly and then continue the row, or is there a way to join, and then start Row 1?

The join occurs when you knit the first stitch on the first needle with the yarn coming off the last stitch of the last needle.

One way to get a tighter join is to cast on one extra stitch, slip that last stitch from the last needle to the first needle and knit them together to make what will be your first stitch of the round.

I like this method for joining in the round. Works with circular needles or dpns.

Love it!!! :cheering: Thanks so very much!
