How to join fronts, sleeves, and back

I am working on a baby bolero cardigan and I am ready to join the fronts, sleeves, and back. Below is the pattern direction:

P11, with ws of left sleeve facing, purl tog last st of left front and first st of sleeve, p16 across sts left on stitch holder, purl tog last st of sleeve and first st of back, p26, with ws of right sleeve facing, purl tog last st of back and first st of sleeve, p16 across sts left on stitch holder, purl tog last st of sleeve and first st of right front, p11

The part I have a question about is in bold. Does this mean that the ws of the sleeve is facing me or facing the work? Thank you for your help!

You are working on a purl row of the pieces throughout this joining row. So the WS of all the pieces will be facing you, not each other. You will be working it so that when you work the next row you will be on the right side of all pieces and the bolero will be all joined together with the right sides of all pieces on the outside like you will want it to be to make the little sweater look right when worn.
