That’s an interesting idea. You might be able to finish each of the end triangles with a live stitch at the end of the row instead of a bind off. However, I’m not sure if this would leave a gap between rows. I’d have to try it.
Otherwise, you could pick up sts along the bound off edge but I understand this is not what you’d like to do.
Hi Salmon,
Yes l thought to bind off all stitches and then pick up and knit in garter stitch but I’m sure there must be a way of doing it that ends with a row of live stitches on the needle.
Thanks,
Tamar
well after you get the top triangles finished, knit one row, leave those stitches live, then you can finish as you intended.
Thanks guys,
I just figured it out as I went along after two or three little tries. Now my hair band is all done. I will post it on What’cha knittin’.

Excellant! What did you do to transition from the entrelac?
Basically l did the top triangles but instead of knitting off all the stitches at the top of each row l left one untouched. And so l left myself all 15 stitches on the right needle. Hope that makes sense.
