Hi,
It works on multiples of two stitches.

Row one: (Knit one, purl one) repeat across the row.

Row two: (Purl one, knit one) repeat across the row.

Repeat these two rows for pattern.

If you have an odd number of sts, just K the Ps and P the Ks (as they present).
