How to Create Woven Crochet?

Hi All,

I may have a lead for those of you that are still interested. Someone told me that they think its actually a knit stitch as seen here

I was hoping to learn a new crochet stitch but I’ll give this a try and see how it goes. Thanks to all of you for your help
