I can’t seem to find anything that shows me how to cast on addition stitches in the middle of a knitted project, and it’s not increasing, I’m trying to add stitches around for a thumb in a mitten. Help?
a slipknot doesn’t seem to work either.
I’ll try my best to explain how I do it: knit a stitch like you would normaly only instead of sliding the stitch off the left needle, take the new stitch you just made and put it on the left needle, do that for as many increases as needed, and then continue to follow your pattern.
Does that make any sense for you?
and that works without clumping or looking funny? then perfect and thank you very much!
You don’t need a slipknot, just do the knitted CO as if you already had a couple sts on the needle.
Thank YOU !! I have done increases before in the middle of a row, but my mind blanked out & for the life of me I could not remember how!! Bless YOU !!!
