How To Add A Row To Finished Piece?

This is what I get for not reading the pattern thoroughly. :gah:

I thought I was done, and bound off. Then realized I needed to knit 6 more rows.

Can I just take my bind off end, join new yarn and proceed with the 6 rows (or rather 5 rows since the bind off row would count?)? I really, really do not want to rip back. Please tell me I don’t have to rip back!

Yes, take out the BO stitch by stitch as you put the loose sts on the needles one at a time. Helps if you use a smaller needle to put the sts one.
