How many yards is this?

I just bought a thing of ‘mystery wool’ on eBay, and it is 12 ply wool, 4 ounce cake of worsted weight. Does anyone know how many yards this is?? I don’t know, but I figured for $5.50 I’d take a chance. TIA! :smiley:

this site is mostly about unraveling a sweater but at the very bottom is an idea for measuring yarn. Hope this helps.

I would measure off, say, 10 yards and weigh it, then do the math to figure out how much (roughly) is there.

(Is it sad that I got a kntchen scale last fall and I only use it to weigh my yarn?) :roflhard:
