How long? Help!

I am knitting some fat slipper socks for when I go ice skating. How long should I make the cuff? It is a very very pretty shade of blue and I do not want to waste it by making socks that are not long enough. TIA! :muah:

I would make them so they come up above the top of the skate, so it protects my leg from being rubbed by the skate. Maybe a tad extra to roll over the top of the skate?

how long are skates usually? i dont own any. I rent them.

I’m not sure of the exact measurement, but ice skates usually hit right below where my calf starts.

You could also try them on as you go.
