How does Andean Silk wear?

Hello everyone!

I see that many people are fans of Andean Sillk from knitpicks, and I knit two hats with it. It’s so soft and un-scratchy, but I have noticed that it has fuzzed out quite a bit.

Before I knit anything with it, though, I bought a ton of it to make the Tubey sweater on knitty. But now i"m hearing that in addition to the fuzz (halo? I’m still new to knitting), it stretches out quite a bit and just doesn’t wear well for a sweater.

Any thoughts or opinions? I’m thinking that if it’ snot a good choice, I may knit it out of Rowan Calmer (I got a bunch off ebay for fairly cheap).
TIA!

I’ve only worn my Andean Silk Tubey once (today!), so I can’t really answer this yet except to say that if it stretches out, it’s not immediate. I think some of the other Tubey people made theirs out of Andean Silk, so maybe one of them has a better answer.

Today is the third day I have worn my Tubey of Andean Silk. I don’t think that it has stretched out. I does have a bit of a halo, but I think any alpaca or alpaca blend will. I thought it was itchy at first on my arms (I have on a t-shirt under it), but the itchy doesn’t seem to bother me any more.
