I know that “sl 1k” means to slip 1 stitch as if you were knitting.
I also know that “wyib” means to keep the yarn behind the needle.
I am very confused on the “p1”. Does the pattern want me to keep the yarn in back when I purl the stitch?
The comma in the pattern is after the “wyib” and I am thinking that the instruction does not have anything to do w/the “,p1”.
“sl 1k wyib” is one stitch and then the next stitch of “p1” is totally separate and worked as a standard “p1” w/yarn in front, right?
I am a knitting newbie and am really enjoying this wonderful craft. Would appreciate some guidance.
