How do you knit with roving?

I received a nice gift of a purse kit. it has roving…any hints? don’ts?:whoosh: :eyes:
it is too pretty to mess up.

If it comes apart very easily, don’t pull too hard on the working wool.

Have you read thru the instructions that came with the kit - there are sure to be suggestions there, too.

Roving will often twist a bit as you knit. And I agree, read the instructions first.

Just hold the roving gently in your hands as you knit with it. You might not want to use any tension at all with your fingers. The more you touch it, the more it will shed and pill. Will the final product be felted?

Oh, interesting! I thought you only used roving for felting or spinning…I had no idea you could just knit with it!
