Hi everyone, this is my first post, so I hope you can help! I am knitting a practice scarf in seed stitch and part way through the skein of yarn I was given, the yarn is broken. Do I tie a knot in the two ends, or do I just double the old tail with the piece from the skein and knit them as one? Thanks!
Cindy
hi, I am new here, too.
I would suggest just to knit the old and a new strands together for several stitches–that’s always my preferred way to join two strands.
If it’s wool, than you can felt it together, which I recommend. If not, use a Russian join, which Amy has a video of here. Both are invisible and leave no ends to weave in.
