How do you decrease on the P side AND on the K side?

How do you decrease one stitch at each side of every row in stockinette stitch? On the knit side, I K1, K2 tog, K to last 3 sts, ssk, k1. But what about on the purl side?

BTW, I’m making the cap sleeves for Athos(Ravelry link).

P2tog (purl two together) and ssp (slip, slip, purl)? That seems like it would be the same on the purl side.

Thanks, Jan. Do you slip both Kwise or Pwise? Or one of each?

According to the video here on KH they are both slipped knitwise.

Thanks SO much, Jan. It looks lovely!
Did you ever decide to do the double-knit blanket? You had some great color combos. I decided to wait.

When you slip sts for ssk or ssp you slip them knitwise.

I did? :?? Might be someone else. :teehee: I would like to make it someday, but not for awhile. I’m on the first sleeve of my first cardigan! Wooo!

on the purl side you would purl the first st then p2tog work to within 3 sts of end then ss,p 2 tog, p1
