How do you attach the sleeves to a Wonderful Wallaby Hoodie

I’m working on a Wonderful Wallaby hoodie for my grandson, and have had to start over four times. How do you work the sleeves in on this one piece hoodie? If anyone has made one of these hoodies, please tell me how to get these sleeves on this hoodie. Thanks

it appears to be a neck down one piece construction, knit on circular needles. This type generally has you place 4 markers around the neck edge, then you put increases before and afte the marker, this ‘line’ of increases forms the ‘seam’ to the armpit. When it gets long enough the stitches between the markers become the sleeves. At some point you place the sleeve stitches to a stitch holder or waste yarn and continue the body. Then you go back, pick up the sleeve stitches fromthe waste yarn and make the sleeves.

Is there something in the directions you don’t understand? You can type out the 1 -3 rows you’re having trouble with. I’m sure someone will be able to explain it better when we see exactly what you’re having trouble with.

Nope, it’s bottom up construction because of the way the pocket is made. I haven’t made one, but I’m pretty sure how they are attached. I’m not sure how to explain how the sleeves work though. Are you on Ravelry? If so there is a Wonderful Wallaby KAL group.

ETA: I think they are actually done pretty much like this, but once you get the idea follow your instructions.

Yep, that’s typical bottom up construction - you have a large tube for the body and 2 tubes for the sleeves. You would knit across front sts, then knit the 1st sleeve sts from their holder onto the same needle, knit across the back, then the other sleeve, then the front. It looks a bit like this - oOo - and will seem odd for a few rows until you do some decreases, then it starts looking like a sweater.
