How does one go about starting a knitting group? I really would LOVE to form one here on the base, but I honestly don’t know how to go about it. I do know one other woman who knits who also lives on base, but she works 2 jobs and never has time anymore.

Do I put up flyers around the base? Like in the commissary or bank?

Also, while I’m at it… I just joined myspace a few months ago. I’d like to check out some of their knitting groups. Any suggestions?

That sounds like a great idea! Give it a try. Are there any “gathering” spaces? You could try there too…or if there’s a meeting for any sort of group, take your knitting along & work on it. You just may find some closet knitters out there.

Good Luck in finding some cohorts! Another option would be locating a LYS nearby.
