How Do I Keep Screwing This Up?!?

I am so frustrated right now!!! I am making the Oh So Soft baby blanket for a friend of mine who is scheduled for a c-section on July 23rd and for some reason I keep messing up the seed stitch along the side, but I only mess it up when I’m doing the eyelet rows. I have to keep frogging the eyelet section and I’m just about ready to give up on the whole thing. The funny thing is, I’ve already done one section of the eyelet pattern, and I didn’t mess up the border that time!!! UGH!!! :hair: I’m feeling really stupid right now. I know what I’m doing wrong, I just can’t seem to get it right!

Thanks for letting me vent.

It might help out if you put stitch markers seperating the seed boarder from the middle part of the blanket. That way when you get to the marker you know you need to be doing the seed stitch. Just a thought…

One stitch at a time, you’ll spot where you’re going wrong.

You can also correct stitches without frogging the whole row. It takes a bit of time to learn, but it’s a great skill for many projects to come:thumbsup: Amy has a video in the Tips section.
