Hi. While doing my project, a hooded scarf, I noticed a hole about ten rows down. An obvious dropped stitch. Oops.
I have the correct of stitches I started out with. So I assume that I yarned over but dropped the stitch. And not paying attention I just knitted the yarn over in the next row. Double Oops.
What’s the simplest way to repair that dropped stitch without making it look too fixed?
Your advice is much appreciated.

Thanks Ingrid. But the stitched I dropped is about ten rows down.
You can try bringing it back up but it will probably only be easy to do for a few rows. Bring it up as far as you can, then put a short piece of yarn through it and secure the ends in the stitches on either side.
that would basically be my advice, too.
If there is a hole, you may have some slack in a strand or two up that you can lift it into. then just sew the “live” stitch to the inside of the piece. You can either use the yarn you are working with as sewing yarn, or you can use thread. But the finer you work (and the most in color) the less visible it will be.
Thanks. I’ll take your advice. It’s Lion Brand Homespun yarn so I suppose one little fix-it won’t be too obvious.
