Hi guys, I found a picture of this hat online (in the attached pic) and I’m going to try to make it tomorrow. I was wondering if you know of any techniques to do the bottom part of the hat where it overlaps each other? I was planning on just doing it in pieces and sewing it together, but I am hoping there is another way…Thanks!
Not sure, but I think if you make the layer on the bottom is about 3", the middle is 2" and the top is 1" it might work. I’m not sure if you’ll do them separately and seam or pick up stitches for each successive layer. Seems like it would be pretty thick if you use any yarn heavier than fingering though.
Yes, that’s the way to do it. It’s similar to the method herefor the lower tiers of this sweater.
That’s what I was thinking too, the 3-needle joining. That’s how I’d go about it.
