How do I add on stitches

Help! I have been knitting for about two months and have been practicing on wash cloth patterns. The pattern that I am working on right now wants me to add two stitches, but the example is hard to understand, because it is only pictures. Does anyone know where I can find a free video online so I can see a live example. I looked on this site, but could not find what I was looking for. Is adding a stitch, maybe called something else and I am looking in the wrong area?

Please help!

Depending on what the pattern says you should either increase or add two stiches by casting on. Do you have a link to the pattern at all?
