How can I make this bigger

This hat is so cute! I would love to make one for my daughters…one is 9 months and the other is 7. HOw can I make this pattern larger to compensate?

It doesn’t look like the pattern says how big it is.

I’d make the small one, and check your gauge on that. See how much bigger you need to make the larger one and add enough stitches to get the circumference you need.

Then multiply the number of stitches you need to go around her head by 4 and cast on that many so you can decrease for the ruffle.
