How can I convert this pattern?

I want to make this hat for my daughter… but I am not using the homespun on it… I am using the LB Wool-Ease thick and Quick.

I am not sure how to adjust the cast on’s to bigger yarn and bigger needles :??

Maybe it would be easier to use your yarn and this formula.

You look confused. It just uses your gauge and how large you want your hat to be and tells you how to figure the number of stitches and decreases.
