Hope someone can help
I find this really confusing what rows to place button holes this is King Cole double knit baby cardigan come in 6 sizes. I also don’t know why they want yfwd I assume they want the next 2 stitches pulled together.
The yarn forward or yarn over is going to form the opening that the button will slip through. The “work 2tog” or k2tog will decrease a stitch to compensate for the increase due to the yarn over.
The rows for the buttonholes depend on the size you are making. Work the buttonhole as given for Next Row. Then you’ll work the given number of rows (11[25,27,19,33, or 39]) depending on the size you’re making and at the same time work a buttonhole on the row or rows for your size.
first size on the 10th row
2nd size on the 14th row
3rd size on the 16th row
4th size on the 14th row
5th size on the 16th and 32nd rows
6th size on the 14th and 28th rows
Does your pattern have a name or a King Cole number?
Thank you for your help now that you explained it and broke it down simpler I understand and see the semicolon separation. My pattern number is 2767 it’s my first baby item. Going to make blanket also. Here’s a picture of the pretty blue color I’m using dont know if you can see it has a little bit of sparkle
That’s an adorable pattern and lovely knitting on your part. Pretty color with sparkles is a winner.
Thanks for the photo!
