Took a stab at making homemade needles must say they came out better than expected 
Wood feels really nice on the hands.Used some doweling,a pencil sharpener,emery board for sanding and chapstick (carnauba wax) to polish.They are very smooth and smell good thanks to the berry chapstick

That is awesome. Never would have occurred to me to make needles! Where did you get the dowling from? Just a hardware store?
