Holes in neckband

Hi all,

I could really do with some help, I’ve knitted the neckband to my jumper and started to set the sleeves and then noticed that I seem to have some holes around the neckband, presumably from where I’ve picked up stitches along the neckband.

I really don’t want to have to unpick everything so is there a way to close the holes?

Here’s a quick picture of how it looks…

See if you can follow the line of a stitch to close up the holes. It’s similar to this technique.

Thank you @salmonmac, if I don’t have an available end to weave in can I weave in a separate piece to close the hole?

Yes, sometimes an end happens to fall in just the right place but otherwise, just add in a short piece of yarn and weave in the ends.

Great! If the holes are very small, a duplicate stitch can help fill in the gaps. This method involves using a yarn needle to replicate the pattern of the surrounding stitches. You’ll este enlace essentially “embroider” over the hole to fill it in with matching yarn.
