Holding yarn for yo knitting

Hi everyone…I just found this wonderful site with all the helpful videos but I didn’t see anything about yo’s…I am making a dishcloth (something easy to practice this new to me way of knitting, continental) and it says knit 2, yo, knit to end of row…is there a special way to hold the thread, seems I am all “thumbs” right now…Thanks for any help

When you do a yo there is no special way to hold the yarn. Just put the yarn between the needles to the front as if you are going to purl, but knit the next stitch.

There is video here under increases.
