I may just be being stupid but am I reading this pattern for shape crown wrong. See attached. I see K3, k2 tog (7 times) knit 3. I now have 69 stitches and need to end with 62. Apologies if I’m talking gibberish. I am putting a photo of the pattern. Many thanks. Maureen

The instruction is k3, (k7, k2tog) 7 times, k3
Everything inside the bracket is repeated the number of times written outside the bracket so to expand is
K3
K7, k2tog

K7, k2tog
K7, k2tog
K7, k2tog
K7, k2tog
K3
So beginning with 69 that’s 7sts decreased across the row, ending with 62.
