I am making a hexagon purse and I am in the home stretch, although I don’t quite understand the last part.
Dec 1 st at each end every other row until you have 32 sts. P one row. Switch to Seed Stitch.
Work 5 rows Seed Stitch, cont to dec as est twice more - 28 sts
BO in pattern.
I don’t understand how to continue to decrease as established now that I am supposed to be in seed stitch. I started with 28 stitches when I did the first part- so why do I switch to seed stich when I have 32 stiches and how would I continue to decrease- I’m a little confused.

Welocme to KH!
Thanks, GG.
Decrease at each end by k2tog or ssk or whatever decrease you used in the body of the purse. You’ll have to watch the sts on the needle to make sure that you knit the purl sts and purl the knit sts so that the seed stitch pattern continues.
You switch to seed to mirror the beginning of the purse after the cast on. When you cast on, you increased the stitch number in seed stitch. Now you’re decreasing in the same pattern. The opening will then have a seed stitch pattern on both sides. If you didn’t increase in seed stitch at the beginning but did all the increases in stockinette, then do all the decreases in stockinette before switching to seed. One side should measure the same as the other.
