Here is the little hat I did with two strands of wool. It was the first hat I have ever made, and it turned out okay, but a little tight. I definitely will try it again.

It looks great! I’m sorry it is too small…the holding of 2 colors shouldn’t be an issue there, I would try changing your needle size. 
In your other post I thought maybe you were talking about Stranded (Amy has video on it here). That is when you have to watch your tension :happydance:
That looks great for a first hat. I like the colors, and now that you’ve got this one finished, your next one will be even easier to knit. :yay:
