no matter how many times I try…I just can’t seem to get this right. Yes I am having another go at the Corps of Discovery hat. I got my Denise set, have the 20 inch circular now and have practiced on another hat. I have looked at the video helps for this, but just not making any sense. I do the cast on according to directions, but when I knit the next row the contrasting color just doesn’t come up like it shows on the photo. Are there any tricks for this method?

well what i do is try to make the project to what it tell me and just knit it out if you want to see the surpises and then if it turns out ugly that can be your practice basic of what not to do with the mistake
Also try to watch Amy video of working with two colors and listen carefully i play the viedo time s and times until its in my brain 
where did you find the two color cast on video clip of Amy? I cannot find it.
I couldn’t find one either. She mentions that it’s on her CD. I did a search, but no luck.
