Help ! :)

My grandmother is knitting my daughter a dress, she has in the past knitted everything under the moon. Back in Egypt they showed each other how to do different dresses, designs and often didnt use patterns. Its been a while since has done any knitting, like 20 years. She has gotten most of the dress completed but is stuck at one part where she doesnt understand the pattern. Shes being very hard on herself about forgetting, hasnt slept in two days, honestly!

Here is where shes stuck. Anything/anyway you can explain or guide us id be very grateful. This is an old pattern and is for a baby dress.

any way to enlarge, or type out the text? it’s so tiny i can only make out about half the words. (or, if you have a ravelry page, you can upload bigger photos in your project queue, that’d work too). cheers! - X

Thank you! I didn’t realize how tiny it was, I will type it out and post. Thanks again!

I think if someone helps with the above she can figure the rest out.
She is doing the larger size if that matters. I cant thank you all enough for even taking the time to read.

If any other info will help please ask.

Welcome to KnittingHelp! How kind of your grandmother to make this dress.
I’m not sure exactly where she’s having trouble so if this doesn’t help then just come back and ask.

There should be 85sts for the back.
Slip the first 46sts of the back onto a holder or thread. Start with a new strand of C yarn:
(k2tog, k1)x4 [that’s k2tog, k1, k2tog,k1, k2tog, k1, k2tog, k1]
then (k2tog, k2)x6,
k2tog, k1.
Now you’re ready to work the 41 sleeve sts:
K1, (k2tog)x2,
(k1, k2tog)x11
k2tog, k1
At this point you’re up to the front sts.

As I said, I’m not sure how helpful this is so if your grandmother could tell us what the exact problem is, maybe we can try again. The numbers for the sts add up correctly.

I won’t be of any help, but the picture you have posted is very hard to read; it looks as if the camera moved while the picture was being taken. Could you possibly post another picture that is easier to read, and hopefully someone here will help you.

Dress is really nice.

If anyone, ever, needs help with ANY knitting problem, this is THE place to come. Nothing ever stumps this group! :woot:
