Help?:)

Would someone be willing to explain this for me? I wanna make sure I’m doing it right. I’m making a hoodie (first time) and I’m shaping the neck… the instructions say this:
Shape Neck Next Row (RS): K21 (22, 24, 26); 28 (29, 32, 35, 37, 40) sts, join 2nd ball of yarn and bind off center 10 (14, 16, 18); 22 (24, 26, 28, 32, 34) sts, k21 (22, 24, 26); 28 (29, 32, 35, 37, 40) sts. Working both sides at the same time with separate balls of yarn, bind off 2 sts at each neck edge once, then decrease 1 st at each neck edge every other row twice –17 (18, 20, 22); 24 (25, 28, 31, 33, 36)sts for each shoulder. Work even until same length as Back to shoulder. Bind off. Seam Front to back.
Whaaaaaat?any help would be greatly appreciated <3 thanks

First off, which size are you making?

Its a large one… consisting of 114 stitches… 17 1/2 inches long

The size you’re making is determined by how many stitches you’re using.

So work however many stitches are you are using for your size, then use a second ball of yarn and bind off the center X number of stitches.

Now you will be working the two shoulders with each having it’s own strand.

The neck edge, naturally, are the two inside edges. You will bind off 2 stitches when you are at the beginning of the next edge one time each, then decrease on ever other row (when the neck edge is the first stitches on the needle) twice. Then work without decreasing. . .
