Help!

Hi there, I am new to on-line forums, fairly new to knitting but challenging myself with each project. I am stuck with a pattern ‘Chloe’ by Alana Dakos, its a little cardigan knitted from the top down and no seaming.

Now states 'using backwards loop cast on method, cast on 2 sts at underarm - I have searched the knitting help areas but cannot find this cast-on.

Would some kind person out there be able to enlighten me!!! its so frustrating

Hi and welcome to KH!
If you go to the top of this page to the Free Videos tab and look under Cast Ons, Single Cast On, you’ll see a video of the backward loop. It’s ok for just what you’re doing: casting on one or two sts in the middle of a project. Good luck with the sweater and isn’t “no seaming” great?

instead of backwards loop you can also use: knitting on cast on or cable cast on. That is up to you.

backward loop may leave you two big holes … knitted on cast on might be better or cable cast on.
