Help!

I’m new to knitting, I just started knitting on Christmas because I got a set of 3 or 4 pairs of needles. The ones I’m using are 9 inches and the width thing is 5.5 - I’ve got the casting on right but after I do my first stitch or two to work on the row the yarn gets tight and it’s impossible for me to pull the needle down and pull the stitch off.
HOW do I make it easier?! I know it shouldn’t be that hard…

Thank you!

You can try casting on looser by casting onto larger needles or hold two smaller needles together. Also don’t pull the yarn too tightly when you’re knitting a stitch.

With practice your tension will become more comfortable and it won’t be hard.
