how do I turn my project to do sides, when I am making a bag, and I still have stitches on the needle, from doing the base.
If I’m understanding your question correctly, you’re supposed to pick up stitches around the bottom to begin knitting in the round?
Use the tip of your circular needle to start picking up down the short side on the left, then across the bottom, and then back up the right side. Then you can start knitting in the round.
