It’s been so long since posting here, that I’ve had a hard time getting back on line and deciding what to do next. My question may be so easy…but I’m stumped. I have a new (free) pattern to try that requires 3 (three) strands of “Double worsted weight yarn” to be knit on size 15 needles. I am in the dark as to what is Double Worsted Weight yarn, and a brand…etc. Anyone out there know the answer? Should knit up fast if I can make a good decision!
I did a search and found a Morehouse pattern that called for it and used Morehouse Merino 3-strand. :scratchinghead: I think it merely means Bulky Weight though. According to the yarn weight scale, Bulky is roughly the equivalent to twice a worsted weight yarn.
It’s just a heavy worsted/bulky yarn. Either weight will do.
Thanks for a quick reply…I really want to buy enough to get started on this pattern
Double Knitting weight yarn. Slightly finer than worsted weight.
It was a question about Double WORSTED weight, not DK.
