I am making a sweater that calls for ywib & wyif. I know how to do this but the instructions read like this " If a k st is about to be worked: wib, sl st as if to p from left to rightneedle, bring yarn to back, sl st back to left needle. That is where I get lost. What do I do then? Do I continue in my rib pattern? What to do with at stitch!:knitting: Thank you: Joan
Help with wyib & wyib
sounds like you knit the stitch…"if a knit stitch is about to be worked"
I’m more confused as to why you would slip a stitch wyib , move yarn to back (isn’t it already in the back?), then slip back to the left needle. I’m wondering if you it shouldn’t be to slip wyif…then move yarn to back , slip back to left needle…and knit
You just slip the st, then work the next stitch in the rib pattern.
This is what I was thinking too. Maybe it should read:
If a k st is about to be worked: wyif, sl st as if to p from left to rightneedle, bring yarn to back, sl st back to left needle.
