So I’m attempting two colour brioche in the round, with the newsprint cowl. So I used long tail cast on and complete the setup row. But I’m confused about which side should be facing and how to join if the first stitch is a slip stitch?http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/newsprint-cowl
I just tried it with a small number of sts. The smooth side of the long tail cast on, not the purl bump side faces out or is the RS of the knitting. I began the join by slipping the first stitch over to the right hand needle, yo, p2tog and continued. The join can be neatened up later with the yarn ends after you’ve worked several rows.
Thank you so much!! i think i understand it now, probably wasn’t a good idea to start a new project like this at like midnight and very tired
