I am a 64 year old great grandmother, who plays golf, and loves to felt wool purses and Christmas stockings. (Now if I could only find a market.) When I have a rather tall project in stockinett stitch, I find that it torques to the right, and when I felt it, I have a hard time pulling it into shape, especially if it has handles that are felted right on the purse. Is this a common problem, or is it purely in my knitting technique? Please help.
Help with torquing
I don’t know but I wonder if it has anything to do with the way you pull your stitches.
You might be twisting your stitches, but sometimes it has to do with the yarn. This article explains a bit - http://www.knitty.com/issuefall05/FEATwhyply.html
