Help with this pattern instructions please

I am knitting a sweater and working in rounds for the yoke, but unsure how to read the next steps. Can you please help me interpret this next instruction (I am knitting with 11 stitches ):

2nd Round: *K8 (9, 10, 11, 12), K2tog, rep from * to end. 198(220, 242, 264, 286) sts.
Knit 3 rounds.

(Are the knit 3 rounds just plain knitting or are they also identical to 2nd round?

Thank you !!!

Welcome to the forum!
What is the name of your pattern and designer?

Ordinarily when the pattern says “Knit 3 rounds” it means knit those rounds even, that is without any decreases or increases.
The pattern seems to be good at telling you stitch number so you can confirm the stitch count and decreases that way. If you need help with that just let us know.

Thank you so much!
