Help with the Koolhaas hat

Hi Everyone,

I need some help. The Oh-So-Wonderful Mr Flood came up with this great creation that I must knit. Must Must Must. Here’s the problem. I’m stuck on his chart legend for the stitchs. I keep reading from others how simple this is yet I haven’t translated it to my brain as of yet. Can someone please help me decipher?

There is 1/1 LC: sl 1st st onto cn and hold in front, k1tbl, k1tbl from cn

I get that cn is cable needle but otherwise…

Then 1/1 RPC: sl 1 st onto cn and hold in back, k1tbl, p1 from cn

and finally, 1/1 LPC: sl 1 st onto cn and hold in front, p1, k1tbl from cn

Please send help soon! I have knit my brim and I am now ready to move onto the next size needle and start the meat of the hat. Thank you.

You don’t have to use a cable needle, just knit the 2nd st first, then the 1st st and you’ll have the RC and LC. But to do it like the pattern explains –

1/1 LC: sl 1st st onto cn and hold in front of your work, k1 tbl (through the back loop) from the left needle, k1tbl from cn

1/1 RPC: sl 1 st onto cn and hold in back of your knitting, k1tbl off the left needle, p1 from cn

1/1 LPC: sl 1 st onto cn and hold in front of the knitting, p1 from the left needle, k1tbl from cn
