You are increasing one stitch at each edge of the sleeve on the next row and the the edges of the following 6th rows, 10 times, so only 2 increases at a time.
So if your first increase was, say on row 1, the following increases would be on rows 7, 13, 19, 25, 31, 37, etc., until you’ve done this 10 times.
After that you’ll increase 5 rows after the last increase, and every 5th row 5 or 6 times, depending on your size.
[QUOTEI]Increase 1 st at each end of next row and 10 following 6th rows, and then on 5 (6) following 5th rows. 93 (99) sts
You are to increase every 6th row, 10 times
then every 5th row 5 (6) times - depending on which size you are making.
Next row (1): Inc 1 st on each end
Rows 7, 13, 19, 25, 31, 37, 43, 49, 55, 61 = Inc 1 st on each end
Rows 66, 71, 76, 81, 86 (91) = Inc 1 st on each end of row
OK I’m back again!
I managed to figure all that out, but these sleeves are slumping me again.
Here are the instructions:
With 3.25 needles and ms, cast on 60 (64) sts.
Row 1 (RS): (k2, p2) to end.
This row forms the rib. Repeat this row until work measures 6 cm, ending with a WS row and increasing 1 st at the end of the last row. 61 (65) sts
Change to 3.75mm needles and commence stocking stitch, work 2 rows.
Increase 1 st at each end of next row and 10 following 6th rows, and then on 5 (6) following 5th rows. 93 (99) sts
Continue straight until work measures 35 (37) cm.
Change to 4mm needles and work from chart to row 38, joining in and breaking off colours as required.
The underline is what is stumping me. Does it mean that I will continue from this point for another 35 cm (13.77 inches)? Because the sleeve is a little past this already.
BTW, this is a fair isle pattern which is why it’s talking about a chart, but I am just doing it plain. Thanks again!
