Help with split neck bind-off

I am knitting a baby sweater. For the split neck I just added another ball of yarn half way across the needle. The directions now say “Bind off 3(3-4) sts at each edge of front slit once”. I don’t understand how to bind off the three stitches on the right half of the neck since it is like the end of a row. The yarn will not be in the correct place for the next row.
Thank-you for any help you can give me.

Welcome to KnittingHelp!
You’re going to be working both sides at the same time.
You can really only bind off at the beginning of a row. So bind off one side of the neck on the next row and then the other side (at the neck edge) on the following row. The bind offs will be offset by one row but it won’t be noticeable.

Thanks for the answer. That is the solution I figured out but, since I am using bulky yarn on a small sweater I think it will show but it seems to be the only option.

Is there a neckband or collar on the sweater? That will help.

There is a hood that is knit separately and attached at the end.
Thanks!

Here is the pattern. I didn’t use the fluffy yarn which may hide the difference in the rows.

That’s adorable! Thanks so much for the link.
The edges of the hood may well join along the V (hard to tell with the fuzzy yarn).
