I am knitting some slippers called sox knit slippers mary jane style. Instructions read: Cast on 5 sts. beginning at heal, work in garter stitch. Inc 1 st each end of needle on 4th and every following 6th row 3 times. 13 sts. Continue even for 2 ins in total ending with a WS row. My question is about the increases. Do I increase on the 4th row, and then start counting rows again until i reach the sixth row. then count again to from one until I get to another sixth row increase until I do this 3 times, or after I increase on the 4th row, do I count down 2 more rows and do an increase. Then do I start counting again from 1- 6 to do my next increase, then another six, and another six. Exactly what do I do?
Increase on rows 4, 10, 16, 22 and you should have 13 stitches at this point.
