Help with sleeve cap

When piece measures 47 cm in all sizes, cast off for sleeve cap in each side on every other row as follows: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 1 times, 1 st 2 times. When piece measures 53cm

Do I keep doing the bind off till it reaches 53cm

What is the name of your pattern?
Usually the sleeve cap is shaped with just the rows that you quoted (or something very similar). After the decreases every other row, work without shaping until 53cm.

Very graceful and pretty. Yes, only work the decreases given and then work without shaping to 53cm which is the beginning of the final rounding of the sleeve cap.

The next set of decreases is every other row which puts them all on the right side of my thinking is correct. This is also my first sweater

The cast off is in every other row on each side.
1 st 2 times, 2 sts 2 times and 3 sts 1 time

That’s 9sts on each side for a total of 18sts bound off: one stitch at the beginning of rows 1,2,3&4, 2sts at the beginning of rows 5,6,7&8, 3sts at the beginning of rows 9&10. The sleeve top will decrease evenly on each side.

Thank you!!
