I don’t understand the ‘At the same time ‘ bit of pattern direction . Could someone advise

Work the increases at the back and the neck edges at the same time. When you knit the 8 rows, increase on the back edge on rows 1,3 and 7. Increase at the side edge on rows 1,3,5 and 7.
